Dr. Gregory immediately saw that Emma was in pain; something our regular vet didn't notice when they had her for half a day. I was impressed by the quick attention we received and the caring and kind staff that attended us. As a result I am changing Emma's primary care to Wheat Ridge from her previous vet. She means so much to us and deserves the best. Thank you for all you have done for Emma and for us.

Staff very nice and detail oriented. Made sure I had all the info about my pets situation. I like the seating in the lobby, so your pet is secluded if need be. I feel very secure the staff has my dog's best interest at heart.

Words cannot describe how much anxiety we had about taking our dog to the emergency room for an illness that seemed to have eluded her regularly seen vet for the last month. We really expected the worst. After her initial exam at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, we were given all of the possible illnesses associated with her symptoms, accompanied with a comprehensive list of tests needed to find a diagnosis. The list was long, and it was scary for sure, but it was all explained to us in a very well organized, and (visually) easy to understand fashion. We also received a great breakdown of cost so that we could plan accordingly to proceed with her treatment. She stayed overnight, tests were performed while she was on an IV drip for her pain, and by the following afternoon we were able to take her home with medications, a plan of action to treat her illness, and a set follow-up appointment. Having so many specialized doctors and techs makes this hospital the most excellent option to get answers to illnesses and treatment for injuries that cannot be found at the GP. I am so grateful for the care and attention my dog received because I know that it has already improved her quality of life.

Dr. Cuddon is the nicest person & is so good about explaining everything to us, staying in contact when my dog was staying there before & after surgery. Everyone working with him was also very nice & helpful & always took the time to answer questions when I visited or called.

Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital is always great about getting our dog in to see Dr. Jordan -- she's extremely patient & knowledgeable. Sometimes there's a decent wait between check-in & being seen, but I still highly recommend this practice.

Amazing. First visit and the doctor was able to give me answers and find out new things about my dog Apollo than his vet of 6months. I am beyond thankful for already getting the information and help from Dr. Schmidt on Apollos brain disease. I hope she is able to help me and my dog have the best quality of life that we can have together. Thank you so much

Our (my) most recent visit to WRAH was to have pre-op blood drawn for our cat's upcoming surgery. WRAH makes this as painless as possible for your time by allowing you to schedule a tech appointment. I didn't have to wait long, a tech came out and took Chloe to the back, did the draw and that was it.

You can also walk-in, but I HIGHLY recommend setting up an appt. Even calling the same day when you have an idea of when you will be there is fine. We've done this a couple other times for our other cats/dogs and it worked great. I'm glad this option is available! I don't know if this is a "newer" option added this past year+, or if we just didn't realize we could do it before.

Of course, I assume if an emergency came in that needed the tech(s) we would have to wait, but that hasn't happened in the few times we've used this ability to schedule a tech appt.

Oh, ALSO a time saver - while I was there with Chloe, I also had to pickup some meds for one of our dogs. I did that, paid & "checked out" at the same time as I checked Chloe in. I mention this because in the past I waited til our cat/dog was done to check out. That can take longer since other people are being helped by that time. So, if what you are doing is a "set" price, best thing is to pay when you check-in, that way you don't have to wait again at the end.

Note - If the labs are for a surgery pre-op, they can be paid for when the surgery is done. I opted to pay for the meds only and leave the blood labs to pay with one consolidated surgery bill.

When Chloe was brought back, I was able to just leave. Great and efficient.

I wanted to post this review because "waiting time" is so important.

I don't want to leave out the folks at the front. They are all great. Helpful, unflappable and the obviously love animals! :)

The techs are the same. Even though Chloe was there for a simple blood draw, the tech didn't just dump her back out and leave. She took the time to tell me how Chloe did in the back (good info to know, since our other cat was a nightmare when they tried to take her blood. LOL).

We live up in Conifer (almost 5 years) and continue to use WRAH because they are the best vet office and hospital (unfortunately we've had to use that side of the practice also) we've ever used 25+ years.
