If you are anything like me you know what dental fear really is. It is so bad you do not go to the dentist for 10, 20 or 30 years. You woukd rather have open heart surgery than go to the dentist. You are afraid to brush your teeth hard because you are afraid they will break. The fear is so great you will do anything and endure anything than actually go to the dentist. If you have to bring a extra t-shirt with you if you go to the dentist because you will sweat thru the one your wearing then you know what im talking about. I am someone who would not even consider going to the dentist unless i was knicked out. I was very lucky because I found Dr Richard Dennis and his staff at Saratoga Smiles. I found him from searching on the Internet for IV Sedation. My pain was so bad I made a call, and for anyone who is like me you kniw that is a HUGE thing. I knew right away I was talking to peopke that understand people like me. They understand that I had a REAL fear. The conversation was positive enough where a actually made an appointment. Granted it wss 6 weeks out so I had enough time to back out, cause that is what i usally did. Long story short I made it to my first appointment. EVERYONE in the offoce from the front desk people, to the hygentists to Dr Dennis himself made ne feel normal. They never judged, scolded or made me feel anything negative. They were only there to help, really help. I cannot say I was not nervous, anxious or scared but they made it better....because they were better. Better peopke and a better oractice that really cared and understood me. So if your now wondering if the IV Sedation worked...yes it did. And now I will not be as scared when I have to back and get more work done. Thanks to Dr Dennis, his staff and my lovely supportive wife I will someday be proud of ny teeth. Know I havent said anything about the quality of the work they did, it was great,. I really didnt mention it much cause that is not important to people like us. I am just lucky I found them not only for the high quality work they do but more importantly for the peopke they are and how they treated me.cause that is what is important to us, our fear, our real fear.
