Not pleased with the service as my massage was sub par and not firm

enough. Nor was my wifes massage done properly. No one else was in

the rooms that night yet because we were 15 minutes late my wifes

massage was cut off by 25 minutes but still charged full amount?

Plus there were 3-4 girls in the front dest doing nothing for the last 45 minutes.

Its no wonder you charge so much.

Terrible feeling for the service in your spa and the Resturant not happy with either one.

The manicure and pedicure treatments are excellent.

The attitude of the manicurists and front desk are always pleasant and welcoming.

The only issue I have is with trying to get through to make an appointment. Waiting time is much too long.

Normally I would have rated you at 5 stars, but my latest experience was a little disappointing. I brought a friend with me for her first visit to Sense, and I had talked up how much more I love your spa vs. Burke Williams where we traditionally spend our spa days together. But there were several things that soured the experience...

1. When we went to pick our lockers, we looked through about 10 lockers each to find one stocked with robes, and they were all empty. We had to go to the closet by the entrance to retrieve robes ourselves. No one was around to assist us.

2. The steam room wasn't working. We sat in there for about 10-15 minutes and the steam never kicked on. Another guest who had been in there with us went to report the problem, and when the attendee came to help, she said we had to hold the door open for a few minutes. That didn't work, nor SHOULD that be the way to get the steam to turn on, and made us very cold, so we abandoned that amenity.

3. The shower area had a mysterious plastic bag with pink-ish liquid in it on the floor leaking a big puddle around it. I saw an attendant walk by it 3 times without cleaning it up.

4. There were only 3 towels left in the towel cubbies.

I had been really excited to show off how amazing Sense was to my friend, and we were both disappointed.

The facilities are beautiful and clean and the front desk and appointment service was excellent. I loved the open air whirlpool area and the accommodating dressing rooms and lounge. It was also really nice to be able to have brunch at Madera before the spa appointments. The treatment room for my scrub/massage was well appointed and comfortable and the scrub used in the California Woods treatment is heavenly!

Unfortunately, one of the things I enjoy most - the steam room - wasn't working properly when we were there, but it hadn't yet been discovered and so wasn't fixed during our stay, so I didn't get to enjoy it. That was a disappointment.

Flies in the whirlpool were easily dealt with, but kind of off-putting to find swirling around in the tub.

My facial was fine overall, but the fact that my aesthetician recommended that I use professional strength UV blocking and general skin products and then didn't offer any suggestions made the accompanying scolding seem a bit unproductive and insulting.

The extractions also proved to be a bit aggressive, as my skin broke out immediately after leaving the salon even though I arrived without any blemishes. While I understand that facials with extractions can have this result, normally the professional facials I get don't cause reactions this extreme. I'm afraid there will be scarring that I'll have to remedy with professional products and it's been uncomfortable since.

I think Toki was amazing! I think it may have been one of the best massages ever.

Atmosphere is fantastic and Joy, who did my facial, did the most beautiful service for me. Really impressed.

Sense Spa at the Rosewood is the best spa in Silicon Valley. It is the type of spa you would expect to find in Napa Valley, or Sedona Arizona, except it is in our back yard. Every detail is attended too. You are greeted with the smell of lavender that suffuses the whole place. All of the services that I have had done there have been excellent; mani/pedi, massages, and facials. It is not overpriced either. You can go in and have a sports pedicure, $65, but you can stay and enjoy the jacuzzi, and the sanctuary and the steam room too. So, you can make a whole afternoon out of it. I love just hanging out in the sanctuary (co-ed) and just reading on my iPad. You can order food there too. They have cucumber water at every turn. It is a great detox at any time during your busy day.

Because of a recent crown, I thought I would have to get a whole new nightguard. But Dr. Boucher adjusted mine-- saved me that whole expense of a new one. And he did it on the same day I called about what to do because of that crown. Never had a negative experience under Dr. Boucher's care. A first rate dentist.
