I've been a loyal MC client for over 20 years, but my most recent visit was very dissspointng. I called the salon before my appointment and was told everything was fine for my visit in half an hour. When I arrived the receptionist (who was very nice) told me the stylist I booked was running a bit behind and asked if I wanted to try someone else. I declined and said I would wait. A minute later, a very flustered looking woman - I'm guessing a manager - told me I needed to see another stylist because there was no way my stylist could see me - she was too far behind. The new stylist was nice, and the cut was ok. But when I went to pay I was informed that the stylist they gave me charges nearly $50 per cut. I was forced to see a stylist I did not know and did not select, then I was charged her rate - not the rate I signed up for with my preferred stylist (who charges $35). I have a simple chin length bob. What in the world? I'm not sure I will be returning. The receptionist and the stylists were fine, but that experience was upsetting. They should have told me my stylist was running too behind when I called a half hour before my appointment then given me the option of re-scheduling, instead of having me drive all the way there from Cleveland only to tell me there was no way my stylist could see me. But they didn't share that with me over the phone. Or, at the VERY least, they should have charged me the rate I signed up for - the one my intended stylist charges - not the rate of the stylist I was forced to see on their very chaotic day.
