Initially my experience was ok. The office staff is okay & so is the dentist. My first issue is that I got a root canal done that started at 4:30 pm & ended at 9 pm (Strike #1). Since the dentist office is conveniently near my place of employment I decided to take my son (an 8 year old) for an appointment (strike #2) they are listed on Aetnas site as a dentist for kids but, the staff (not the dentist) explained that I could not go to the back with MY son because of the room sizes. Again, this is a child. Therefore I left & decided to take my son to a real children's dentist. Now moving on to strike #3 after I paid almost $600 out of pocket for my root canal & wasted my time as well. The same tooth is hurting worst then before the root canal. Strike #4 I contacted the office about the problem & they gave me an appointment for Tuesday 4/28, I called on Thursday 4/23. I then had to take it upon myself to tell them that I was coming same day so, they made room. When I got there the receptionist tried to get me to sign for dental work to bill Aetna. I declined to sign because this problem was due to work that was NOT done correctly. The dentist attempted a quick fix that has not worked & they also gave me a recommendation to go see a root canal specialist. (RED FLAG) What was the point of the dentist performing the procedure if she can't do the correction. Before leaving the appointment I asked the receptionist did I owe anything or if I needed to sign anything and she told me NO. Which brings me to my reason for posting this review. I received an email (which is normal) providing the services from AETNA. Needless to say they billed my insurance company for the visit on 4/23 which I did NOT sign for & it was explained that there was nothing due because this was something that should have been done when the root canal was done. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I provided my story to say this, I would not recommend Dr. Sharmilla Anand D.M.D to a family, friend or enemy!
