I have been a client for decades now. Sandy Cha was the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth for years and always did an excellent job. I would rate her as the gold standard, 5 out of 5 stars. Sometime after the practice moved to the current location and Dr. Dinh joined it, I started seeing him because of insurance reasons. Laura Griffith has been my dental hygienist for several years now. Laura has done a good job cleaning my teeth over the years, but she is a little rougher on my gums than Sandy ever was. I would rate here cleanings 3 out of 5 stars.
Recently I was in for a routine cleaning visit. One of the other dental hygienists cleaned my teeth. This was the worse cleaning I have ever received. She dug and scrapped with the metal instruments so forcefully that I was wondering whether she was cleaning or pulling my teeth. Most of my teeth are close together and floss can be difficult to slide between them. In the past during cleanings, the hygienists would carefully slide the floss between my teeth. This hygienist was forcefully pushing the floss down and ramming it into my gums! After most cleanings my gums are sensitive for several hours, but after the last one, I gums we sensitive for about one week! Also, several of her comments to me were borderline rude which I normally wouldn’t care about if the service would have been better. I would rate this hygienist 1 out of 5 stars, which may be on the generous side.
Dr. Cha and Dr. Dinh are both very good dentists and office staff is fine. At this time my wife and I are seriously wondering if it is time to move on to another dental practice.
