Everyone is always so friendly at Excel! This time it was just a quick stop, but I have gotten my last two pairs of glasses at Excel--Dr. Bass takes time to explain every test she does--what she is looking for etc. Monica is the best optician I have ever worked with--and I've been wearing glasses for 55 yrs!!!

I cannot tell you how pleased I was with Dr. Bass, she is great! I will write another review when my glasses come in...that will be the real test.

I had been at your office a few days back. I was totally disappointed and degraded. The receptionist was totally rude and awful.She said I was not scheduled for the day when it was obvious I was scheduled. Then they made me wait for 45 mins and then told me I would have to pay out of pocket. When I had called them to take the appointment they had told that the insurance would cover everything. It was a total waste of my time and more than that I was taken aback at the rude behaviour of the receptionist. I strongly feel she was discriminating me coz of my colour, coz she was totally nice with the other white patients. I think that is not the way to treat an another human being. Are we to be blamed for our colour? I would sincerly advise you to treat everyone equally.

When Sheeja called to schedule she did not know what insurance plan she was on. We went ahead and scheduled her, mutually knowing that we may not be an ?in network? provider on her insurance. Upon arrival we looked up her insurance and discovered we were not on her plan and went to great lengths to inform her about her plan, how it works, or where she might go to get coverage. We offered to see her as a fee-for-service patient and informed her she would be required to pay out of pocket for services rendered. The receptionist even went the extra mile, per Sheeja?s permission, to explain the situation to her husband per phone. Other patients were arriving and needing assistance so we were attempting to accommodate everyone as customer service is our top priority. Sheeja was not happy about having to pay for her services and having scheduled an appointment. The staff took a lot of time attempting to clarify how her insurance works without compromising/recognizing others as they arrived. Unfortunately, she perceived this as rude and accused us of being racist. We care very much about our patients and strive to provide the best of customer service to everyone regardless of race, gender, etc.

Dr. Bass and her staff provide a very thorough and professional eye exam. The office is very efficiently run with no waiting! I highly recommend Dr. Bass!
