The mechanics at this shop are excellent. They will take time to talk with you about your car and what ails it. I have an older Audi that had an idle problem. I simply asked for a diagnosis of the problem and then told them I wanted to assess the issue before proceeding with any repairs. They did exactly as I asked. These guys seemed truly interested in my issue and what it takes to fix it. I also needed a few spare bolts and they pulled out a spares bucket and I was welcome to dig through it to find what I needed. I appreciate shops like this. I will be going back.

Trustworthy, fair, reassuring, friendly, informative. Those are the words that come to mind when I think about my experience at Crossroads.

The automatic transmission in my 8-year old Mini Cooper had started to perform badly, with delayed and harsh shifts between gears. It barely made it to Crossroads the morning I dropped it off.

This is not an uncommon problem with Mini Coopers (with automatics). Many people end up getting a new transmission, which is what the Mini dealer would probably have recommended, at a cost of about $8,000.

But Jay at Crossroads diagnosed it as needing only a new transmission valve body. This is still an expensive part (about $2,000) but it’s less than a third the cost of a whole new transmission. Crossroads replaced the valve body, thoroughly tested the car, and it now drives like new again.

I especially appreciated Jay talking to me and explaining his thought process behind his diagnosis.

I’ll be taking both of my cars to Crossroads for all future maintenance and repairs.

My first visit to Crossroads was prompted by a driver's side front window stuck in the OPEN position during a very cold, rainy, winter day. Bill told me "Well you better get it over here!"

Dropped the car with Bill and his team, and they got me the car back (fixed!) the same day, Bill predicted what was wrong after listening to 20 seconds of my amateurish explanation of the problem. Even got the oil changed and a bad exterior light fixed while I was there! The price was spot-on, and I swiped my credit card with relieved glee.
