I usually see Elaine and my chief complaint would be that she is often late. I always make my appointment for the 1st or 2nd one after lunch, thinking that that time should minimize the wait time. Appointment before my last appointment after waiting 65 minutes I was just opening the door of the exam room to leave when she came in. Of course, she apologized, but frankly that doesn't negate my long wait. What exacerbates my frustration is that no one bothers to advise me of anything. No one comes in and says "I'm sorry, but Elaine has been delayed with the last patient and should be here within 15 minutes." That is something that should be easily corrected and is a huge, but simple PR action.
This isn't a practice where the medical professional is late because of hospital rounds or because of a surgery running longer than anticipated. So when will offices such as this finally realize that our time also have "value."
We completely agree with you. Our patients time is just as valuable as ours.
We want to first apologize for running late and also for not updating you on when the provider would be coming into your room. This is currently already part of our protocol when this issue arises, we will look into why this did not happen during your visit and address it with our staff.
We would love to discuss your experience in further detail if you can please contact our office at (760) 423-4000 it would be greatly appreciated.
Patient feedback is important to us for this is how we improve the Contour experience.
