The reason for 3 stars is because I feel the institute isn't what it used to be. It was very loud in the facial area. Many students laughing - it didn't used to be this way.
The young lady that was doing my facial was very sweet but didn't seem to have that much training before working on guests. For instance, she pulled on my stud earrings several times. She never asked me to take them out which I would have obliged to. The towel they tie around your head kept coming off during the facial because she never took the time to tie it right in the beginning. She would just tuck it behind my head. The two girls next to each other were sharing products which was really distracting. The spritz bottle was not working for either one of them and she just kept spraying and spraying- maybe 10 times in a row to get it to work. It never did work for either girl. So I think being prepared would have helped in that situation; being stocked up with the products they need.
I remember the institute being very strict on appearance and how everyone presents themselves. The girls looked like they had just woken up. Hair all messed up. Girls were wearing dirty converse shoes. No one looked polished. It just gives off a bad image of Aveda. Presentation is everything. I know it is just a school, but a lot has changed and it was disappointing. The reason I liked going there so much was because everyone working there acted like they were part of a business, not a school. It used to be very professional and polished.
