The student that did my highlights definitely needs more practice. It took me 3 hours from the time I walked in. She had to re-saturate my hair with the dye as it had dried out and was no longer processing. Then, another student was talking negativily about her client after she had left. I found this to be extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. The student was complaining that she did not work in the hair industry to hear people complain. In my option if she can not stand certain criticism she needs to find another profession to work in. Overall I would not recommend Aveda institute

Most of my experiences at the Aveda institute have been excellent. I had a haircut from a master student, Jasmine, and she gave me a great cut. She talked to me about every product she used and explained how it worked. I liked her so much that I mad an appointment for color with her next week.

Excellent pedicure, but the afternoon appointments only get two to three color choices because of the way polishes are put out. Don't know if it's poor ordering of supplies or something else, but it's pretty shameful for a company to not have more polish out to choose from.

I recently completed a 4-session 90-minute facial package, a great deal. I had three different students: one was a standout and the other two competent and friendly. The instructor' s participation seemed to consist of saying, "okay. Sounds good" to each student's plan for the facial. The experience was wonderful, and I will return.

My sole concern was the handling of the package: each time I prepared to pay for my products at the end, the (very nice) young woman at the register could find no record of my payment for the package. I had to show my receipt and ensure her that I had not finished the package yet. Once, I was charged and had to ask her to remove the charge and I had to re- explain. Aveda needs a better system for marking the facials off the package, a punch card or something. Please!

Long wait to check out at the counter, but the workers were very apologetic and friendly. I enjoy the atmosphere at this location and it is my Aceda of choice.

From the beginning, being greeted at the front door, to the end, which was forgetting my umbrella with my Master, Marcia, the experience was a joy.

I went for a coloring based on a picture. This was Marcia's first time working with a guest that possessed very coily hair. Based on a series of questions, my Master presented me her thoughts and conferred with one of the Educators who devised a plan to execute my endstate goal.

The end result - my hair did not come out like the picture but the color worked for me considering my professional career and complexion. The suggested products used from the color to the shampoo, conditioner with the botanical treatment plus the technique used when cleansing and apply the color was very nice and a caring treat.

To Marcia, the best of opportunities to you and I hope that you continue your thirst for being the best and most diversed cosmetologist that you want to be!
