I went to Amai the other day for a 90 minute massage with my mother in law. Let me first say that she was happy with her experience here and had no complaints.
I love massages and usually get one every month. I go to Treiva's, but they couldn't accomposite two 90 minute massages.
My massage at Amai was not relaxing. I told the therapist I was there for stress relief and left more stressed than when I came. My only guess is that she was trying an Acupressure massage on me, as much of it was painful and uncomfortable. There were many times that she only had one hand on my body, doing nothing but holding my toe or arm (not massaging). It felt as if she was trying to text while massaging. The massage was lopsided--she would do somethings that felt nice on one side, and then hardly pay attention to the other side. She even forgot what she was doing and skipped one of my legs and one of my feet.
I can't figure out what went wrong here. Was she new? Am I crazy? I'll just stick with where unusually go.
