I have had nothing but good experiences with the dentist and the hygienist in the past. But I have to say this visit did not sit well with me. It had nothing to do with the quality of the work or the friendliness of the staff.
I was disappointed to learn, upon my arrival, that my hygienist was no longer working at Amador Dental. I feel I should have been informed ahead of time so I would have had some say in who would treat me.
It also felt like there was an emphasis on getting me to buy the mouth rinse and have an expensive treatment done. With Jane, we would discuss all options and the final decision on when or if I would go ahead was always left up to me before going to the front desk.
I was informed of the revised way to pay for major work at this visit as well. I'm not a fan of paying for something I have not had done yet. Again, I should have been made aware of this new policy ahead of time. A simple email would have sufficed. Then I would have had an opportunity to make an informed decision about my upcoming appointment and any possible treatment needed.
