In the past service has been good. But this last visit I felt that I was charged for service my vehicle didn't need. My car was misdiagnosed the first time in. I paid. I came back they then found the problem. I had to pay a smaller sum again. I think the mechanic did not check all items on the SOP or they would have caught the problem the first time. Then the lady at the counter gave me this bogus story to try and cover this up. She threatened to hold my car hostage till I paid.

Mr. Gantt, we appreciate your long time trust in us. To clarify, on your 1st visit, we heard the noise though intermittently and traced it down to Mazda's TSB Title MTIP-09-01-2 of 01/01/09. TSB - Technical Service Bulletin are known issues with the vehicle but are not considered a Safety or Liability issue so the Manufacturer does not repair for Free as a Recall. The TSB Procedure was done on your 2nd visit, test drove and did not hear that noise. 3rd visit you came back in with a noise. Technician drove vehicle with you and heard a knocking noise - not a rattle as before. Technician showed you Sludge on your dipstick and you confirmed you had not changed the oil in a long time. We changed your Oil and added BG MOA to the oil change. Of course there was a separate charge for this as your Past Due Oil Change was not a part of the TSB Repair. I apologize you feel Becky gave you a Bogus story - however I have checked with each person who worked on your vehicle to confirm all facts. Paying for the Oil Change again was required for releasing your Vehicle. We understand vehicle Maintenance and Repairs can be costly and for over 36 years strive to offer great service at a fair price.

As usual service was excellent had an oil change on one car and rear brakes on another. The brakes were discovered during a check for a strange noise from the engine which turned out to be from the new belts that were installed awhile ago and the car had not been used. No problem since we are back using the car on a regular basis. The staff at accurate auto is always courteous and the mechanics are willing to call you to discuss repairs before progressing we have been using them for about 20 years and 6 cars.
