This was my first visit to the Institute, although I am a long-term Aveda product user and salon customer. My primary motivation was expense-related, and I was delighted at the prices.

My experience paralleled the level of service (greeting, offers of water/tea, professionalism, tour, etc.) that I have always received at my Aveda salon. My Master student Erin was salon-ready in my opinion, and her educator (Melissa?) was top notch. I enjoyed being a part of the teaching experience, received a terrific haircut, and will be back for my highlighting, mani/pedi and other services.

My only issue was that my appointment went 45 minutes over the estimated completion time they had given me/written on the board, resulting in 2 hours for a short-hair cut.

My favorite haircut I've ever gotten. Sweetest student who cut my hair, she showed me around the school and answered all of my questions with ease. She listened to me and made sure I was okay with the length she was taking off. Am planning on visiting again for other services!

I have been a customer of your institution for a long time and always get a great service. the students are not perfect, but thier grace and willing to take care of extra little things make a major difference. However, i am sad to report that last Friday i had the worst experience ever. The student realized that she has not done a good job and called the teacher. I mentioned that the highlights were not the proper color and that i did not mind, but that I need to have my hair ironup to remove the wrinkles as i have an important event to attent. They both kept tellimg me to pay $35 extra and that my color was ok. They also mentioned that they will write a note in the computers, so any extra done on my difficult hair will be changed. it is not about the money, but the attitude. i still ponder what was so difficult to try to accomodate my hair slightly when they knew it was such an important day fo rme.

My daughter received a haircut with blow dry/ style. The student did not greet us to even say, "Hello" or tell us her name. She was obviously in a bad mood and treated my daughter poorly during her appointment by mumbling any communications to her (I.e. "Let's go to the bowl."- which my daughter had no idea what she was talking about) and by pulling her hair even though my daughter expressed to her that she was hurting her. She tried to convince my daughter to let her hair dry naturally as she was condescending and rude, but my daughter wanted it dried. My daughter asked her to dry the root first, as she has curly hair and wanted it to be straight. She rolled her eyes and asked for her instructor to assist with drying her hair. She also kept getting the brush stuck in my daughter's hair as she was drying it and became frustrated leading to pulling her hair even more! She ended up not drying it completely. I am outraged that this type of behavior is permitted in an Aveda facility as I have been a devoted customer for 20 years.
